Reflecting who we’ve become: Ethnolink’s brand refresh

by Costa Vasili

I’m excited to share something close to my heart — the launch of Ethnolink’s refreshed brand.

This new identity is the result of over a year of reflection, collaboration, and creative work. It represents more than a visual update. It brings to life the journey we’ve been on, the values that anchor us, and the vision that continues to shape our future.

Ethnolink began in 2011 with a single, clear idea: that language has the power to connect, include, and empower. That idea came from my own family story. When my father migrated to Australia from Cyprus, he spoke little English and experienced first-hand the challenges of navigating a new country without fluency in its dominant language. I grew up watching how those barriers created distance — and how moments of understanding could create connection. That experience never left me. It became the foundation for Ethnolink.

Over time, we’ve grown from a translation service provider into Australia’s largest national multicultural communications agency, partnering with government, not-for-profits, and purpose-driven organisations to deliver projects that speak with authenticity and cultural insight. We support campaigns across health, transport, education, safety, infrastructure, and emergency preparedness — from research and strategy to translation, design, and delivery.

At every stage, our focus remains on people. On listening carefully. On ensuring the final message resonates, not just linguistically, but culturally. We work closely with multicultural and First Nations communities across Australia to create communications that reflect real voices, lived experience, and community wisdom.

This new brand reflects that approach. You’ll notice a sharper design, a more confident tone, and a clear message behind everything we do. Our new tagline, Language can change everything, captures the essence of our mission — and reminds us why our work matters.

You’ll see this updated identity rolled out across our website, social media, and communications. Behind the scenes, our team of more than 50 professionals continues to grow — each bringing unique skills in language, community engagement, project management, creative strategy, and campaign delivery. What unites us is a shared belief in inclusion, purpose, and impact.

This is a proud moment. Not just for me, but for every person who has contributed to Ethnolink’s journey — from our translators and designers to our researchers, project leads, and community advisors. The brand we’ve unveiled today reflects all of you.

To our clients and partners, thank you for trusting us to carry your messages into communities. We approach that responsibility with care and conviction.

I invite you to explore our refreshed look and continue walking with us as we build communications that create understanding — and drive change — in every language.
