Relationships Australia worked with Ethnolink on one of their largest campaigns of the year — Neighbour Day. Neighbour Day occurs annually on the last Sunday in March, and it aims to support social connection throughout Australia and address loneliness throughout the nation.
For Relationship Australia’s Neighbour Day campaign, Ethnolink was proud to produce translated infographics and social tiles in 4 languages. Additionally, we designed the English version of these marketing materials from scratch!
Ethnolink was engaged to not only translate marketing materials (an infographic and 4 social tiles), but also to design the materials. Ethnolink’s Graphic Designer produced the design and revised it according to the client’s feedback and brand guidelines until they were satisfied.
Additionally, as these were marketing materials, the client requested that we prioritise fluency over precision. In other words, they wanted the translations to feel as if they were written in-language, even if they deviated from the meaning of the English text. Relationships Australia really wanted to make sure that, above all else, these resources spoke to multicultural Australians in a considered and natural way.
Our Project Coordinators are committed to our company values, one of which is ‘Openness and Honesty’. Throughout the course of this project, we were committed to maintaining open communication channels with Relationships Australia.
This included staying in close contact with our client contact at Relationships Australia, through every stage of the project. We ran this project in a very collaborative manner, maintaining open and honest communication that encouraged feedback.
