After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Jay transitioned into the translation and localisation industry and is now Ethnolink’s Localization Project Manager. He enjoys connecting with people from all walks of life and learning about their stories and backgrounds. Known for his ability to find common ground with just about anyone, Jay has a natural way of making people feel at ease.
Jay was born to Filipino parents who came from different islands of the Philippines, with slight differences in their dialects of Cebuano. While he was also taught Tagalog/Filipino and English, it was this slight difference in his parents’ dialects that gave him a deep appreciation for multilingual communication.
At university, Jay took up a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. His first job was at a publishing company as a Quality Assurance Specialist. A year and a half later, he moved into the translation and localization industry as a Project Coordinator.
At Ethnolink, Jay is a Localization Project Manager. He enjoys meeting new people through his work, learning about their lives and backgrounds. He can almost always find common ground with strangers, and it is this talent that allows people to feel comfortable in his presence.
