Professional multilingual typesetting

Ethnolink is able to provide Multilingual Typesetting and Desktop Publishing (DTP) in various design formats and in any language. Typesetting can be notoriously difficult in foreign languages due to incompatibility between software and foreign fonts. At Ethnolink, we have a team of multilingual typesetting specialists who can handle both the translation as well as the lay out/typesetting of foreign documents for publication.

We can handle Left to Right (LTR) script as well as Right to Left (RTL) scripts such as Arabic which can be extremely problematic for many graphic designers in programs such as Adobe InDesign. We work in most design formats including the entire Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Publisher.

Poster Translation Service FAQ

You can send us your posters in whatever format you have - a PDF, Word file etc. But before that happens, our Translation Strategists will analyse them and provide you with a personalised quote.

If you have any specific requirements, let us know and we will do our absolute best to accomodate.

If you require professional typesetting, which we highly recommend, please provide us with the professional working files, for example, Adobe InDesign files, so that our type setting professionals can place the translations directly in your brochures.

This will depend on the length of your poster and the number of languages you are getting it translated into. Our Translation Strategists will be able to provide you with an accurate time-frame when they quote up your project.

This is a great question, however, there is no simple answer. The price will depend on the number of languages you want to get your poster translated into, as well as the complexity of the design, the languages that you choose, and the number of words.

Fill out our "Get Quote" form for a personalised quote within 15 minutes.

NAATI, which stands for the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters, is in charge of providing accreditation to translators in Australia. A poster translation should always be carried out in Australia by a translator who has NAATI accreditation.

Our strong recommendation is yes, you will. If you want your translated posters to retain the same format and display your translated text correctly, especially if the languages you are working with use non-Latin script, then typesetting is very important.

But don't worry, we have a team of professional typesetters that do this kind of work every day. Talk to our Translation Strategy team about this service.
