As of the November 2007, all travellers entering Libya are required to have a translation of their Australian passport’s details page from English into Arabic. The official translation must be undertaken by a NAATI accredited translator within a stamp that bears the Australian Government seal and the translation must be completed within the Australian passport itself.
Following the completion of the translation, clients must take their passport (which has the translation completed inside) to their nearest Australian Passports Office so that the Australian Government seal can be placed over the translation. Following this, clients should contact the Libyan Embassy in Canberra (The Libyan People’s Bureau) to arrange the for a Visa to be issued.
EthnoLink Language Services offers translation of Australian Passports into Arabic for entry into Libya. The process involves the client sending their passport to our office via Registered Post or Courier. Then, we will undertake the translation directly into the Passport. The translation is then returned back to the client via Registered Post. To organise this, prospective clients should contact us via email.
